Meet the Brains Behind BrainSpark

     We’re Maribeth and Robert —a wife-and-husband team married for over 10 years and proud parents to our son, Oliver!

     Maribeth has more than 13 years of experience working with children in summer and track-out camps, along with spending 8 years as a science teacher in WCPSS, most recently working with adult learners at Wake Tech.  She makes the difficult seem simple and brings science to life.

     Robert has worked in many roles throughout his career, mostly focusing on college financial aid and policy creation for a professional sporting association. 

      We created BrainSpark to bring together our passion for learning and hands-on fun with our real need for track-out experiences for Oliver. As both educators and parents, we’re dedicated to creating a camp experience where kids feel inspired, supported, and genuinely excited to learn and explore each day.
